From: Eddie van den Hurk
Subject: [Paddlewise] Books on design.

Kia Ora,

"Could someone please recommend a good book on sea kayak design both in
terms of boat design and boat construction. Author, publisher and date
of publication would be helpful."
This might lead to somewhat better understanding of the beasts and who
knows I might even build my own creation one day.A "DOIR" model
Thank you in advance for your help.

Eddie.

For a reference that goes into a little bit more technical detail, check out John Winters' "The Shape of the Canoe". It is not just about canoes. While it does not get into detail about the proper use of Canadian Ballast Stones, it does get into the physics of boat performance.
